The Gift Shop Is Open For Business!

I know I have been a little slack about posting, but I have been busy since we got back. Please forgive me. As the weekend drew near, we were off to the Biltmore House again! NO, I am not sick of it yet....

As usual, I have left the pictures clickable so you can get a closer look. I hope you enjoy browsing as much as I did.

Since I am pressed for time, I have decided to post some of the more important pictures *smile* first. Those of you that know me will understand why. The gift shop was under construction the last time we went, but look at it now!

These are the replicas of the Biltmore tea service. Aren't they just lovely! Expensive!

I like the cake server in this one and the tea for one pots.

Ahhhh..... a tea lover's dream! Look at all these! They have really expanded their tea accessories. It has been worth the wait.

Although this one looks as if it were taken in the house, it isn't. Remember the "no camera" policy? This one is also in the gift shop. I think this setting would have looked a little more authentic if the hardware on the door would have been Victorian. Hmmm....I think when they send me the questionaire about my visit I may suggest this.

In case you're wondering, I did ask before taking pictures inside the gift shop.
I hope to share the others later.

I don't need any of these beautiful things.

But I want them all anyway.

sigh.

ooooh, we love the Biltmore, too! My husband just had a company meeting in Asheville, and we stayed at the Biltmore Inn. Such a beautiful place. I loved seeing the pictures. BTW- HOW do you make the pictures enlargeable. Some of mine will do it, and some won't. I've not seen an option for that anywhere.

It's so cute how excited you get! Glad that you have something that so tickles you and gets ya' all fired up! *wink* It's all beautiful!

Me too, Dapoppins!

Karen, I haven't stayed at the Biltmore inn YET. My husband and I are planning to stay there sometime after Christmas. Probably near our Anniversary. I have been inside to the tea parlor. Soooo nice.

As far as the pictures - if you are uploading and saving "jpeg" to your computer in your picture folder without re-sizing, they should remain enlargeable when you upload them to blogger posting page. If you re-size them in another software program you won't be able to click on them. Sometime this is a good thing. :)
I hope this helps.

Beth, this made me smile....even though you think I need to be delivered! *big smile*

Can you believe I've never been to the Biltmore?! I'll have to put that on my wish list. ;-)

Also, can you believe that I don't have a teapot, much less a tea service set?!! This is going to have to be remedied!!!

You think ya' need deliverin'? ROFL I can see it now - "women of the congregation...come up and circle 'round your sister in Christ...lay hands upon your sister...lay hands on her and pray for her deliverance...pray for her release...the poor woman's got an uncontrolled spirit...an unrepentant heart since she's been attacked by a teapot demon!" *snort*

Although I am more a coffee drinker, I do enjoy a nice cup of tea once in a while -- especially from beautiful cups like these :)
Thank you for sharing, Debbie.

Be blessed today and always.
