8 Things About Me

I have been tagged by Denise and Sharon to do the 8 Random Things meme.
Here are the rules :
Each player starts with 8 random facts/habits about themselves.
People who are tagged write a blog post about their own 8 random things and post these rules.
At the end of your blog you need to tag 8 people and post their names.
Don’t forget to leave them a comment and tell them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

  • I have taught Sunday School starting with primary class and up to the adult ladies.
  • I enjoy decorating for church functions/dinners. Especially tea parties! Surprised?!!
  • I have one dog of mixed heritage. : ) He lives outside and his name is Samson.
  • I like old black and white movies, you know the ones that were all g-rated. These are the best!
  • I do not like bartlett pears. Ughhhh....they are gritty on my teeth and I can't stand it!
  • I live on two acres in the country and have for 2o years. If I would have know then, what I know now, my husband and I would have purchased many more acres. *sigh*
  • All of my water comes from an underground well.
  • I love a bowl of cheerios for breakfast. A banana cut up in them is even better!

This was a lot harder than I thought. Some things I started to post and changed my mind. I wasn't sure that I wanted to reveal that much about my family. This is purely because of some privacy issues and since Anita experienced a little "turmoil" on a post awhile back, it caused me to re-think my list. So, now to tag 8 more, hmmmmm........ I think mostly everyone I know has already been tagged, but here it goes. Anita , Angel Mama, heartthoughts, that's all I can come up with so, if you're reading this and you haven't been tagged, please feel free to participate and let me know!!

You are right about the Bartlett pears - can't stand the gritty feeling on my teeth :)...
Today I wished I lived on a huge farm outside the city. I can not stand the traffic here.
Thus far I have been blessed to not have had privacy issues do to things I write on my blog. But then again, I don't share much about my family either--not even the first name of my husband and the city I live in.

Be blessed today and always.

Morning Debbie! Girlfriend, I need some pointers from you on teaching Sunday school to women! My new class starts June 3. Like you, I have taught every age group of children, now the Lord has called me for this new ladies class and I'm a little nervous. Have a good day!

I love the old B&W movies, too! I wish they would still make good movies today, but they don't, so we watch the old ones.

I enjoyed learning a bit more about you.

Deborah, (cheerios brand name) are small, oat pieces of cereal shaped like donuts. (Must be why I like 'em!) Toddlers love them as snacks and they are sugar free! Thanks for visiting my blog.

Iris, after thinking about some of the things people "google" I have wished I wouldn't have posted some of the already "out there" info.
I enjoy living in the country, but it also has it's disadvantages. The mileage we put on our vehicles is outrageous! It's not a problem until we want to trade it.

Sharon(lady of value) I am glad you are back. We've been missing you around here.
As far as pointers go, I don't know. I had a pastor share something valuable with me. He told me nervousness won't ever go away and that is one thing you should be glad about. Because when we are no longer nervous, we are in control and teaching from our own ability, instead of the perfection of the Holy Spirit. You will be great!!

Angel, I look forward to your meme. I feel honoured that you want to link to my blog. :)

Sharon, They just don't make 'em like they use too!

Sara and Lisa, We actually "live" on 1 acre. The other acre is mostly trees. It's something how I would plant dogwood trees on my "living" acre and they would die,(they require so much care) but back there, they are growing wild and BEAUTIFUL. Unbelieveable!
Most of the movies I watch on AMC. That's only when I get time, which has been rare! LOL Cars and Buzz take up most of tv airing time around here!
